Abstract
Vortex lines with continuous (singularity-free) core structure are usu ally formed when superfluid He-3-A is accelerated to rotation. Tile cr itical counterflow velocity v(c)(T), at which vortex formation starts, has been measured with cn: NMR. The onset of vortex formation is foun d to depend on the order parameter texture and differs from that of si ngular core vortices in He-4-II or He-3-B due to much larger length sc ale.
