Using non-resonant, broadband transducers fabricated from PVDF films,
frequency sweeps have been performed in He-3-B from nominally 10 to 60
MHz at nearly constant temperatures below 250 mu K at about 1 bar. By
studying the changes in the group velocity and attenuation as a funct
ion of frequency, the real squashing(J = 2+) mode has been identified
in the T --> 0 limit.
