We have developed theoretical and numerical methods to solve for the f
irst time the nonlinear two-fluid Hall-Vinen-Bekharevich-Khalatnikov e
quations of motion of helium II. We have investigated the configuratio
n of the vortex lines in Taylor-Couette flow. The results are interpre
ted in two ways. Firstly in terms of quantities which can be observed
by measuring tile attenuation of second sound and secondly by consider
ing the torque on the outer cylinder. Preliminary results and comparis
ons with available experiments in the nonlinear regime are encouraging
.
