We report nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements of superfluid
He-3 confined in 98% porosity aerogel. He-3 superfluidity in aerogel
has been identified as an equal-spin pairing superfluid with a transit
ion temperature, T-c, suppressed from that of the bulk. In magnetic fi
elds, 0.38 less than or equal to H less than or equal to 2.2 kOe T-c i
s further suppressed by 61 +/- 1 mu K/kOe(2) at 18.7 bar. Such a quadr
atic magnetic field dependence of the superfluid transition is unexpec
ted for an equal-spin pairing state. The effects of small additions of
He-4 on the NMR frequency shifts and on the phase diagram are describ
ed.
