Abstract
Using a functional integral method, we have determined the temperature below which cavitation in liquid helium is driven by thermally assist ed quantum tunneling. We have obtained the quantum-to-thermal crossove r temperature in the whole range of allowed negative pressures. Our re sults are compatible with recent experimental results.
