Abstract
A comparative study of the physicochemical properties of the dispersio n-filled gels of ultra-high-molecular-mass polyethylene and unfilled g els was carried out. The properties of the filled gels of ultra-high-m olecular-mass PE and the related composite materials were shown to be controlled by the concentrations of the filler and the polymer in gels as well as by the type of solvent. Using gel forming, composite mater ials based on ultra-high-molecular-mass PE and containing 90 vol % of filler were obtained.
