Abstract
Under artificial seed technology development programme the epiphyllous buds of Kalanchoe tubiflora were used for encapsulation using various concentrations of sodium-alginate. Buds were treated with different c oncentrations of ABA either prior to encapsulation or even in the algi nate matrix to inhibit the precocious growth. The germination behaviou r of the encapsulated buds was also studied.
