Kinetics and thermodynamics of synthesis and decomposition reaction of
the macrobicyclic phenyl- and n-butylboron-containing iron(II) 4-meth
ylcyclohexanedione-l,2-dioximates and cycloheptaoedione-1,2-dioximates
have been studied in diluted solutions photometrically. The dramatic
effect of the ring size on the synthesis rate has been observed and di
scussed as well as the influence of methyl substituent in cyclohexane
ring on the decomposition reaction rate constants.
