Abstract
High antifeedant activity of extracts of Entandrophragma candolei, Ent androphragma cylindricum and Entandrophragma utile (Meliaceae) against selected species of the stored product insect pests Sitophilus granar ius L. Tribolium confusum Duv. and Trogoderma granarium prompted us to investigate the extracts and to isolate the compounds responsible for their activity. Several limmonoids and sesquiterpenes were isolated a nd now their antifeedant activity against the stored products insect p ests is reported. The most active compounds were prieurianin, epoxypri eurianin, their acetates, entilin D and ledol.
