Abstract
Fenvalerate, a widely used pesticide, was administered orally to goats at a dose rate of 15 mg/kg body weight, daily for 270 days. After 90 days of dosing, the animals, together with appropriate controls, were vaccinated with Brucella abortus strain 19. The fenvalerate reduced bo th the humoral and cell-mediated immune responses, as assessed by the standard tube agglutination test and delayed hypersensitivity test, re spectively. (C) 1996 W.B.
