Abstract
There is a growing body of records from British archaeological deposit s of macrofossil remains of plants indicative of dyeing and mordanting of textiles. These records are brought together and the nature of the evidence, including some interpretative problems, considered. Copyrig ht (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
