Abstract
A review of quantitative methods for electromyography is given. Backgr ound information about motor unit anatomy, physiology, and pathology i s provided to explain some of the presented electrophysiological pheno mena. Different aspects of quantitation, such as motor unit action pot ential parameters, automatic analysis methods, reference values, and f indings in abnormal conditions, are discussed.
