THE PECULIARITIES OF EXTROVERSION AND NEU ROTISM MANIFESTATIONS IN FAMILIES OF SCHIZOPHRENIC-PATIENTS

40 schizophrenic patients, their 40 healthy relatives as well as 40 he althy control individuals without any hereditary predisposition to men tol disease were examined by means of H. Eysenck questionnaire accordi ng to Extraversion, Neurotism and Lie scale, Schizophrenic patients ha d higher ratings on the Neurotism scale while their relatives were mor e extraverted as compared with controls. Both the patients and their r elatives had higher ratings on the Lie scale. Genetic mathematical ana lysis revealed that the hereditary contribution to determination of th ese signs did not exceed 4%. It was suggesed that personal peculiariti es have influence on the realization of hereditary predisposition and that the very peculiarities may be transformed under the influence of either this predisposition or disease.
