Abstract
Teaching in small groups offers distinct advantages in patient educati on over the more widely used one-on-one method. Effective small-group leadership skills and the fundamentals of group dynamics will be revie wed. A seminar developed to teach health professionals how to use smal l groups in patient education will be described.
