Abstract
Preparation of titanium dioxide membrane using Kynar (Vinyldene fluori de resin) as binder has been carried out with the object of determinat ion of its electrochemical characteristics, permselectivity and fixed change density on the basis of membrane potential measurements using s odium, magnesium and aluminium chloride solutions. Variation of these electrochemical parameters with concentration and pH has also been inv estigated. A tendency towards inversion in the nature of ion selectivi ty is observed when electrolyte solutions having progressively lowered pH are used.
