PROPOSED REVISION OF ISO-9712

ISO 9712 has been a key document of international harmonization of qua lification and certification of NDT personnel. It differs, however, fr om EN 473 by CEN, which came out of the same root, because of the gaps in time and distance. ISO/TC135/SC7 has worked for a revision. Recent ly its working group produced a final draft. It will still take some t ime before it will be published as an ISO standard. Because of its imp ortance, a brief review of the major revisions is presented.
