Abstract
An infant is described who had an Apgar of zero and who was successful ly resuscitated. The hemoglobin was 1.5 gm. Pure ed cell aplasia was d iagnosed. The infant died 16 hours after birth. Pure red cell aplasia presenting in the newborn period is ran. it should be considered while Investigating anemia in the neonate.
