Abstract
We have measured the Barkhausen noise (BHN) of Inconel-600 sheet mater ial in a rotating magnetic field. We have found that the limit stress amplitude of each life fraction can be estimated using the power of th e BHN. The limit stress amplitude is the minimum bending cyclic stress of each life fraction, In this paper we present a new method for the estimation of fatigue which utilizes the change of BHN in a rotating m agnetic field.
