A. Depaepe et al., EFFECT OF HOT-ROLLING PARAMETERS ON THE MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES OF A LOW-SILICON ULTRA-LOW-CARBON STEEL, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 160, 1996, pp. 129-130
An ultra-low-carbon steel was hot rolled with various reheating, finis
hing and coiling temperatures. A significant reduction of the core los
ses after cold rolling and annealing can be obtained by lowering the s
lab reheating temperature, which results in a coarser precipitate stru
cture and final grain. The magnetic induction can be increased by real
ising a coarse hot band grain structure.
