X. Duan et al., EFFECT OF ANNEALING TEMPERATURE AND HEATING RATE ON THE MAGNETIC AND MECHANICAL-PROPERTIES OF ELECTRICAL STEEL, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 160, 1996, pp. 133-135
The potential of the application of rapid heating to the final anneali
ng of non-oriented steels is explored experimentally. The specific tot
al loss and the permeability decrease with increasing final temperatur
e. Increasing the heating rate is the only way to both reduce the loss
and increase the permeability. A loss reduction of 10% and a permeabi
lity increase of 25% can be achieved when using high heating rates, wi
thout damaging the mechanical properties.
