C. Gomezpolo et al., A CRITICAL-CURRENT SENSOR-BASED ON THE MATTEUCCI EFFECT OF A TOROIDALFE-RICH AMORPHOUS WIRE, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 160, 1996, pp. 194-196
Typical bistable behavior (occurrence of a single Barkhausen irreversi
bility for a certain value of the reverse magnetic field) is observed
for bent Fe-rich amorphous wires with toroidal symmetry. This property
enables the design of new critical current sensors, where the Matteuc
ci voltage is used to detect a critical current flowing through a cond
uctor coaxial with the toroid sample axis.
