Abstract
A strong correlation between the spontaneous Hall coefficient and GMR as a function of annealing temperature was found for Fe/Cr multilayers . The discrepancy between the effective magnetisation extracted from t he Hall effect and the saturation magnetisation obtained from Faraday balance measurements was ascribed to the interface magnetic anisotropy .
