R. Rosado et al., LAPAROSCOPIC RESECTION OF A MESENTERIC CYST - PRESENTATION OF A NEW CASE, Journal of laparoendoscopic surgery, 6(5), 1996, pp. 353-355
Mesenteric cysts are rare abdominal tumors which develop as a result o
f embryonic defects of the lymphatics. Symptoms derived from this path
ology are vague and nonspecific, being frequently abdominal pain, hear
tburn, and nausea. The treatment of these tumors is complete surgical
excision. The laparoscopic approach is replacing open abdominal surgic
al procedures. We present a case of successful laparoscopic resection
of a mesenteric cyst using only three trocars.
