Abstract
The cell phenotype and transcription of integrated oncogenes of simian adenovirus SA7 were examined In transformed rat fibroblasts SH2(C6). Blot hybridization of cell RNA with oncogene DNA, revealed four transc ripts of E1b and about six transcripts of E1a. Using PCR on E1a cDNA w ith specific primers, followed by electrophoretic separation and seque ncing of PCR products, our E1a mRNAs and. their alternative splicing s ites were identified. Three main mRNAs arise by removal of 121, 240, a nd 590 nt. All identified transcripts have a common 3' splicing site ( position 1077) and 5' sites at nt 1057, 838: and 588. One of the trans cripts was assigned to E1a pre-mRNA.
