Abstract
After a 20 year hiatus, a review of the western Atlantic hermit crabs of the genus Paguristes is reinitiated. This review resumes with the d escription of a new species based on specimens collected in thr Bahama s and Turk and Caicos Islands. Paguristes markhami, new species, is de scribed, illustrated, and compared with other known species of the gen us from the western Atlantic.
