An attempt has been made to develop a unified, single correlation to r
epresent overall mass transfer coefficients, during the growth of sing
le crystals, suspended in a flowing stream of saturated solutions. Lit
erature data with a wide range of variables have been used to obtain a
new correlation. Systems with different controlling mechanisms (viz.,
diffusion controlled and surface reaction controlled) are used in thi
s present study.
