The aim of this paper is to show an implementation of the calculation
of one of the important characteristics (K(L)a) of gas-liquid mass tra
nsfer. In the program developed the so-called moment method is used an
d both step change and aeration responses are available in the form of
curves of recorder outputs. The improper integral of the moment metho
d can be evaluated by scanning the outputs by a colour scanner (easily
accessible nowadays in everyday office practice). By using this progr
am a simple communication is established on a Windows basis.
