Abstract
Excess correlation factor delta g in dilute binary mixtures of TBP in nonpolar solvents like tetrachloromerhane, n-hexane, n-heptane, benzen e, p-xylene, carbon disulphide and cyclohexane has been calculated. de lta g is found to be positive in binary mixtures of TBP-p-xylene, TBP- carbon disulphide and negative in TBP-n-hexane, TBP-benzene, TBP-cyclo hexane mixtures. delta g changes its sign from negative to positive in TBP-tetrachloromethane and TBP-n heptane. A sharp peak observed in TB P-carbon-disulphide indicates possibility of complexation.
