Abstract
The cothermolysis of acetyl- and isopropionyltris(trimethylsilyl)silan es with (trimethylsilyl)acetylene afforded the ring-opened products de rived from [2 + 2] cycloadducts, while a similar thermolysis of pivalo yl- and adamantoylpolysilanes produced [2 + 2] cycloadducts and the ri ng-opened products.
