A. Svensson et al., USE OF F-19 NMR-SPECTROSCOPY TO EVALUATE REACTIONS IN SOLID-PHASE ORGANIC-SYNTHESIS, Tetrahedron letters, 37(42), 1996, pp. 7649-7652
Gel-phase F-19 NMR spectroscopy has been used to characterize products
from a variety of reactions of fluorinated aromatics linked to a Tent
aGel resin. High quality spectra were obtained in a few minutes using
an ordinary NMR spectrometer, and the F-19 chemical shifts of the supp
ort-bound compounds closely matched those of soluble references. In ad
dition, substantial chemical shift differences were obtained for almos
t all of the synthetic transformations, illustrating the potential of
F-19 NMR for rapid monitoring of reactions in solid-phase organic synt
hesis. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
