Abstract
The possibility of noncausal signal propagation is examined for variou
s theories of dense matter. This investigation requires a discussion o
f definitions of causality, together with interpretations of spacetime
position. Specific examples are used to illustrate the satisfaction o
r violation of causality in realistic calculations.
