The magnetic property of supersaturated Fe20Co30Cu50 solid solution, p
repared by mechanical alloying, has been investigated by using magneto
metry, Mossbauer spectroscopy and inelastic neutron scattering measure
ments. Magnetization measurement of the alloy could be analysed by fer
romagnetism only. However, Mossbauer spectroscopy and of inelastic neu
tron scattering experiment showed that not only ferromagnetic phase bu
t also paramagnetic phase of about 12% coexist in the alloy. Spin wave
stiffness constant obtained from the analysis of the temperature depe
ndence of magnetization was similar to the value obtained from analysi
s of inelastic neutron scattering experiment.
