Abstract
The magnetism of sesquilayer bcc iron films on W(110) is investigated. Coercivity data and theoretical calculations indicate that the freezi ng of the magnetization at low temperatures reflects exchange-dominate d domain-wall pinning rather than superparamagnetic spin-glass behavio ur.
