Abstract
Using Kerr microscopy, the magnetization reversal of the weakly ferrom agnetically coupled Permalloy layer, in an FeMn biased spin-valve stru cture, has been studied. The samples were prepared on thin glass subst rates to observe the magnetization behavior of the free layer by high resolution optical techniques, The magnetization processes are strongl y influenced by 360 degrees-walls and by edge-related domains. Observa tions are presented on isolated elements as well as on the active and the inactive parts of sensor structures.
