Abstract
In the paper the iron loss change, due to the modulation technique, in soft magnetic materials, supplied by single phase PWM (Pulse Width Mo dulated) inverters, is analyzed. Experimental tests on non oriented, o riented and amorphous materials are reported. The specific iron losses vs the flux density, for the two modulation techniques which are prac tically used in industrial converters, are presented for each analysed material.
