E. Demorals et al., MICROFURNACE THERMOMAGNETIC ANALYZER FOR THE -30-DEGREES-C TO 1000-DEGREES-C TEMPERATURE-RANGE, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 32(5), 1996, pp. 4929-4931
We describe the construction of thermomagnetic analyser that uses a mi
crofurnace. The equipment can work in the temperature range of -30 deg
rees C up to 1000 degrees C, with heating/cooling rates as high as 50
degrees C/min. without temperature hysteresis. The design allows the u
se of excitation and pick-up coils with thousands of turns, working at
room temperature. This gives a high sensitivity to the equipment as r
evealed by the measurement of magnetic transitions in thin films with
masses in the order of 500 mu g. The reproductibility of the measureme
nts is very good, and there is only noticeable drift in the most sensi
tive range.
