A PREDICTIVE MODEL FOR PERMEABILITY OF CORRELATED POROUS-MEDIA

Starting from the analysis of correlated percolation lattices, we deve lop a new predictive model for the permeability of porous media. The m odel proposed introduces a new characteristic length scale parameter r elated to the pore-pore correlation function of the digitalized image of the porous structure. The model predicts with good accuracy the per meability of complex pore structures such as correlated percolation la ttices, deterministic fractals, fractal percolation lattices and corre lated porous media in general.
