The vibrational spectrum of short-period GaSb/A1Sb superlattices in th
e frequency range of GaSb optical phonons is investigated in detail. L
ocalization of transverse GaSb optical phonons in GaSb/A1Sb superlatti
ces is observed experimentally for the first time. The dispersions of
TO and LO phonons in GaSb are measured. (C) 1996 American Institute of
