Abstract
In 560 men undergoing diagnostic coronary angiography uni- and multiva riate statistical analyses were performed to examine the association b etween angiographic findings and different risk parameters (total chol esterol triglycerides, hdl, Idl, lipoprotein(a), fibrinogen). We found in 72,5% a coronary heart disease. Parameters Idl/hdl (p = 0,0001), l ipo-protein(a) (p = 0,0148), triglycerides (p = 0,0229) and fibrinogen (p = 0,0268) were significantly and independently associated with cor onary heart disease. Besides the importance of common lipids, hypertri glyceridemia seems to be as well an independent risk factor for corona ry heart disease.
