We perform all secondary corrections after septorhinoplasty as early a
s possible. Ten or twelve days after the primary intervention, the ede
ma has diminished to such an extent that any residual defect is clearl
y detectable and easy to correct. This essentially is the concept of e
arly secondary corrections after septorhinoplasty. We are convinced th
at any type of secondary correction can be performed at an early time.
Our experience shows with an early secondary correction, patient and
surgeon alike avoid the stress of a long waiting period as well as pat
ient dissatisfaction during this waiting time.
