Abstract
The P matrix approach is used to describe nuclear-Coulomb low-energy p arameters of scattering of two charged strongly interacting particles. Exact expressions for the nuclear-Coulomb scattering length and effec tive range, which explicitly relate these quantities to the P matrix, are obtained in terms of the P matrix for the first time. Nuclear-Coul omb low-energy parameters of scattering on a strong square-well potent ial are explicitly found on the basis of expressions obtained in this study.
