Abstract
A new stilbeno-phenylpropanoid named kompasinol A (1), together with f our known compounds, was isolated from the bark of Koompassia malaccen sis (Fabaceae), an Indonesian medicinal plant collected in Sumatra Isl and, Indonesia. The chemical structure of kompasinol A (I) has been el ucidated on the bases of its chemical and physicochemical properties.
