Abstract
The progress in microwave technology allows one to think that original and low cost sensors for various applications may be feasible. In thi s paper a sensor devoted to the characterization of material webs is p resented. This sensor is based on the use of a complex correlator asso ciated with a measurement cell. The first attempt was made in microstr ip technology at a frequency of 10 GHz.
