Abstract
Proteinase-inhibitor system of the blood was studied in 18 patients wi th nonspecific aortic arteritis. Patients were divided into 2 groups: with permanently relapsing and with subacute and latent clinical cours e. Plasma activity of chymotrypsin-like proteinase and activity of cel lular collagenase were increased and antitrypsin activity decreased in patients of both groups. Correlations were found between chymotrypsin like plasma activity, activity of cellular collagenases and erythrocyt e sedimentation rate. This fact confirmed the presence of connection b etween severity of inflammatory process and activity of proteinase-inh ibitor system in patients with nonspecific aortoarteritis.
