The differential cross sections of the N-15(gamma, pi(-))O-15(g.s.) re
action were measured at theta(pi) = 45, 60, 80, and 100 degrees with t
agged photons at the Saskatchewan Accelerator Laboratory. Pions from a
N-15 target and a CH2 target were measured with two range-telescope s
ystems. The measured differential cross sections were compared with se
veral DWIA (Distorted Wave Impulse Approximation) calculations to see
the effect of the nuclear structure of the ground state of A=15 nuclei
. Unlike the C-13(gamma, pi(-))N-13(g.s.) reaction, E0 suppression was
not observed in this reaction.
