The differentiation of not-schizophrenic delusional disorders may rais
e difficulties in the individual case. Especially as in the current di
agnostic systems the here subsummitted clinical pictures are often cla
ssified unspecifically. Kraepelin called those disorders accompanied b
y hallucinations as ''Paraphrenien'', which were later differentiated
by Leonhard depending on the clinical impression. This article shows t
he variety of the concept ''non-schizophrenic delusional disorders''.
The discussion of a case report demonstrates the difficulties in diagn
ostic differentiation.
