M. Hanafi et al., UK-2A, UK-2B, UK-2C AND UK-2D, NOVEL ANTIFUNGAL ANTIBIOTICS FROM STREPTOMYCES SP-517-02 .2. STRUCTURAL ELUCIDATION, Journal of antibiotics, 49(12), 1996, pp. 1226-1231
UK-2A, B, C and D, novel antibiotics produced by Streptomyces sp. 517-
02, exhibit strong antifungal activity. The structures were elucidated
based on spectral and chemical evidence that these compounds are the
derivatives of the nine-membered dilactone formed from serine and 4-hy
droxypentanoic acid moiety.
