Abstract
A mixed infection of Spirometra sp. and Platynosomum sp. in a domestic cat imported from the Seychelles is reported. Repeated applications o f praziquantel (5 and 15 mg/kg b.w. respectively) eliminated the tapew orms, A further praziquantel treatment (20 mg/kg b.w.) stopped the tre matode eggs excretion and improved the clinical condition of the anima l. The possible species composition, their life cycle and courses of i nfection are discussed.
