Abstract
A polymeric 2 x 2 electro-optic witch has been fabricated using the mo dified bifurcation optically active type of waveguide, which consists of two multimode regions and a phase controlling region. This structur e is insensitive to processing environment, unlike conventional 2 x 2 structures. The operating voltage is 10V with an electrode length of 1 2mm, and crosstalk is similar to-18dB.
