Abstract
The reaction of [{IrCl(COE)(2)}(2)] (1) (COE = cyclooctene) with Bu(2) (t)PH in hexane at room temperature gave the complex [IrCl(Bu(2)(t)PH) (3)] (2) which has been fully characterized by both spectroscopic and crystallographic methods. 1 reacts with carbon monoxide to give the Va ska-type complex trans-[IrCl(CO) (Bu(2)(t)PH)(2)] (3).
